Why hasn’t Aleene’s put the ‘Creative Living’ episodes on DVDs? PLEEASE!! My VHS recordings of the show are starting to fall apart!

Ahhh! The million dollar question 🙂 When the Aleene’s family owned business was closed in 2000, Duncan Enterprises took over the rights to the Aleene’s name and has continued manufacturing the Aleene’s brand products (bless them!). In the transition, all of the Aleene’s Creative Living Television show masters were apparently discarded because they are no where to be found. So, no complete library exists. What we do have is a collection of about 1,000 VHS tapes (bless Heidi for saving these) but we think that the energy and expense put into transferring these to DVD could probably be better spent on new videos and shows! So, we are in the process of developing a list of new projects and topics that we will be producing and sharing AND we are most excited about our new LIVE on Facebook show that is just launching and will expand into a regular daily show in the new year. This is an exciting new interactive format of LIVE webcam demos, video clips and project photos with guest interviews, product reviews, creative chat and much more. These shows will be recorded and available in the Inspired at Home Facebook archives. So, how can the Aleene’s fans help? Join us and spread the word!

I wondered if you had a craft idea for all the plastic bread bags I throw away. Also, all those unmatched socks I just hate to throw away.

I loved to watch your craft shows and loved them-so informative. There was a demo of using two or three different color oil paints and add to water with some other additive; then take something and swirl the paint. You dip objects into the water and as you pull the object out, the paint stays on what ever object you dip. I dipped light switch covers to match the colors in my room. Can you help me with the instructions.
    Thank you,
    Lana Donowho

Lana – the product you are asking about was called Magic Dip. I’m not sure if that specific product is still on the market.
