GRASONVILLE, MDMonday night – On last night’s Inspired at Home Radio, Aleene shared lots of information on the history of the craft industry which  started when she launched her Aleene’s Craftmakers Caravan in 1967.  Listen questions included “What inspired you to formulate Aleene’s Glue? Going back to your first time on televsion – were you nervous? What’s the biggest change you’ve seen in crafting since you started in business?” And much more!

I LOVE your radio show. I download it from ITunes and listen to it later during the week. Aleene has been such a remarkable woman and an inspiration. It has been a joy to listen to her journey these past couple of weeks and I’m enjoying the Aleene Craft Museum. Keep up the great work!
A couple of things said in last Sunday’s podcast really touched me. Aleene said a comment about just keep trying and something to the fact that what if you fail? Oh well, just keep trying. She also talked about marketing and showing people how to use product and how important that is. I’ve had my basket weaving blog for over a year and have made videos on youtube that I have on my blog and teach people how to weave baskets. I’m scared to take the next step and start to sell. I really don’t know what is holding me back if it is fear of failure or what exactly. Fave Crafts has even asked me to do a pattern and write a guest blog post for them. I’ve never done a guest blog post for anyone before and I’m scared out of my shoes. But, I’m going to do it this week. If Fave Crafts doesn’t care for it, at least I gave it a good try. So thank you Aleene and everyone for the motivation that you gave me with this Sunday’s show.
