Olive Oil is SO good for you!
GRASONVILLE, MD – Thursday morning – We don’t really think much about the basic things in life . . . like olive oil. Most people have a bottle of olive oil in their pantries and use it for salad dressings and stir fry. Did you know that olive oil is really good for you?
Olive oil has many uses – here are a few of them: wards off arthritis because it is an anti- inflammatory, is also beneficial because it lubricates the joints and reduces swelling. In diabetes, olive oil cuts the amount of bad cholesterol and triglycerides. Olive oil helps with memory issues as it reduces brain inflammation. Olive oil also lowers the risk of heart disease and cancer, enhances the immune system, fights fat, slows aging and adds years to your life. All these benefits from the bottle of olive oil just sitting in your cupboard.
Olive oil is great for constipation. Doesn’t matter what the constipation cause is, try 1 tablespoon of olive oil with vegetables and fruit or just by itself. I had this conversation the other day with some neighbors and they were mentioning that this is a problem especially when they are traveling. When you are eating unfamiliar foods, or in a different time zone or climate your body can really get out of whack. Now you can carry a small amount of olive oil with you or hope that you are in a country that uses olive oil in its cuisine. Also you can use 1 tablespoon of olive oil for a nagging cough. Olive oil can soothe that tickle in your throat. So start to think of olive oil as a health food and pack a small bottle for that upcoming trip. All the advantages of olive oil cannot be covered here, but I hope you will start to see there is much to be learned from doing some homework on home remedies. Here’s to your wellness! >>Candace
